May 29, Kathmandu- Like every year, a pair of pigeons, a symbol of peace, were released at the event. President Ram Chandra Poudel, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav, Speaker of the House of Representatives Devraj Ghimire, Chairman of the National Assembly Narayan Prasad Dahal, Chief Justice Prakash Man Singh Raut, heads of constitutional bodies, ministers and other high-ranking personalities were present at the event.

The program was addressed by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. Similarly, a joint band of the Nepal Army, Nepal Police, and Armed Police Force performed a march pass and patriotic songs at the program. The historic day of the establishment of the republic in the country is celebrated as Republic Day every year.
