May 29, Kathmandu- The Supreme Court has issued a show cause order while hearing the writ petition filed by Nepal Rastra Bank Governor Dr. Bishwanath Poudel. Today (Wednesday), a single bench of Justice Abdul Aziz Musalman heard the writ petition.

Hearing the writ petition, the bench of Justice Musalman issued a show cause order and also called both the parties for discussion for an interim order.

Advocates Anantaraj Luitel, Bishal Thapa and Pratibha Upreti have filed the writ petition. While filing the writ petition, they had also sought an interim order to stop the signing of the notes as the appointment of the governor is illegal.
