Government To Provide Land Ownership Certificate To 5 Lakh Families

May 29, Kathmandu- The government is set to provide land ownership certificate to 500,000 citizens. Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel, while presenting the budget for the upcoming fiscal year, said that land titles will be distributed to 500,000 citizens by amending the land-related laws.

He said that a budget of 7.49 billion rupees has been allocated for the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation. Finance Minister Poudel also announced the elimination of absolute poverty. He said that he will work together with the provincial and local levels to eliminate poverty.
