May 30, Kathmandu- Police recovered 200 kilograms of marijuana from the banks of the Saptakoshi River, which was being smuggled using a car tube.
They seized the marijuana at about 2:30 a.m. on Friday, about one and a half kilometres north of the Koshi Bridge in Barahakshetra Municipality-1. Authorities found the marijuana tied to a vehicle tube and transported from a hilly district to the Terai region.
The seized marijuana has been kept at the Area Police Office in Mahendranagar. Officials have stated that they have not yet identified or apprehended the individual responsible for transporting the drugs.
The police continue their investigation to trace the source and the person involved in the smuggling operation.
