Friend Dies After Being Hit By Shrapnel From Shotgun While Hunting

Jun 06, Kathmandu - A person has died in Dailekh after being hit by shrapnel from a loaded gun. The deceased is Purna Bahadur Thapa Salami Magar, 34, of Prikhola, Mahabu Rural Municipality-4. According to Lal Bahadur Sunar, Police Inspector and Information Officer of the District Police Office, Dailekh, the person died after being hit by shrapnel from a loaded gun while he was hunting.

While returning home from hunting in a local place called Batase, 30-year-old Surya Bahadur Thapa Balami of Kaprikhola fell down and the loaded gun he was carrying exploded, killing Magar who was with him.

Police have taken Balami and Om Bahadur Thapa Balami Magar, who had gone hunting, into custody along with the loaded gun. Police have said that further investigation has been initiated against them.
