Jun 06, Kathmandu - Three people have been arrested in connection with a stampede that occurred during the celebrations of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), the winners of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
Indian media reported that RCB management team member Nikhil Sosle and DNA Entertainment Network employees Kiran Kumar and Sunil Mathew were arrested by Bangalore police.
The news quoted a police officer as saying that more arrests are likely in the case. Those arrested are accused of gathering crowds by announcing free passes.
Eleven people were killed in a stampede outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium during celebrations to celebrate RCB's first IPL win in 18 years. Another 56 people were injured in a similar stampede.
