Discussions Begin Between Speaker Ghimire And Chief Whips Of Three Major Parties

Jun 08, Kathmandu - Discussions have begun between Speaker Devraj Ghimire and the chief whips of the three major parties on resolving the impasse in parliament. Speaker Ghimire has started discussions with the chief whips of the Nepali Congress, UML and Maoist Center at the Parliament building in New Baneshwor.

Opposition parties have been demanding the formation of a high-level committee to investigate the visit visa issue. Since the ruling party is not ready to form a committee, opposition parties, including the main opposition CPN-Maoist Center, are planning to disrupt the parliament session.
