Jun 10, Kathmandu - Actor Prakash Saput has signed the film 'Mirmire'. Earlier, Dayahang Rai had been signed for the lead role in this film.
After the release of Home Production's 'Basant', Saput recently worked in 'Maitighar'. 'Mirmire' marks the first time that Dayahang and Prakash are collaborating.
The producer has not yet given information about other actors. ‘We are in the process of negotiating with the actors. We are talking to some,’ said director Yam Sherpa, ‘We will work with actors who are popular in the market and have a good grasp of acting.’
It is not yet clear whether Prakash will remain in this film only as an actor or will also be involved in the musical aspect. He reiterated that he will not compromise on making the film good. ‘Mirmire’ is Yam’s second directorial venture.
Yam, who previously directed ‘Karsang’, said that the cast lineup of ‘Mirmire’ will be strong. Actor Prakash Saput expressed his happiness to be associated with ‘Mirmire’.
Director Yam informed that the film, which will be presented by Yarsa Films, is a social story set in a rural environment. Along with directing, Yam has also written the story himself.
Produced by Nimu Sherpa, Chongba Lama Sherpa and Ang Tshiring Sherpa, the film is co-produced by Govinda Bohara and Ishwar Shrestha. The executive producer is distributor Rohit Kattel.
‘Mirmire’ is set to be released in 2082.
