HM's Response In The HoR: I am not involved in the visit visa case, there was a conspiracy against me

Jun 13, Kathmandu - Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has claimed that he has no involvement in the visit visa issue. After Speaker Devraj Ghimire gave Lekhak time to speak during the ongoing opposition by the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and RPP lawmakers in the House of Representatives meeting on Friday, he said that there was a conspiracy against him to end his political career.

"I had sought time to respond publicly to the issues raised by newspapers, social media, and some dignitaries over the past few days. I express my gratitude for the time," he said. Thank you for your time,' he said, 'I have already answered many things through various means. Since everyone knows my political and public affairs, I have presented myself here because I am suitable to answer the contemporary issues raised by holding a public position.'

He also claimed that he learned from the media that the CIAA had recorded a statement from Tirtha Raj Bhattarai, the head of the Immigration Office under Tribhuvan International Airport.

"I came to know from the media that the authority called the head of the temple, Tirthaj Bhattarai," he added, "It is not true that I was involved in this." "There is no truth to the claim that I was involved in this. I would like to say that I cannot be involved. I would like to express my regret in a politically motivated manner."
