Jun 14, Kathmandu - A 78-year-old man from Murtidhunga, Mahalaxmi Municipality-9, has died after choking on a piece of meat. Prem Bahadur Limbu succumbed to complications related to the incident while receiving treatment at Birat Teaching Hospital in Biratnagar, police reported.
According to officials, on the night of 21st Jestha at around 9 pm, Limbu experienced a choking incident after a piece of meat lodged in his throat. He was immediately taken to Birat Teaching Hospital in an unconscious state. Despite receiving medical care, Limbu passed away during treatment on the night of 30th Jestha.
The incident highlights the dangers of choking hazards and the importance of cautious eating.
