Jun 14, Kathmandu - Education Minister Raghuji Pant announced that efforts are underway to pass the education-related bill in the House of Representatives by Ashadha 15. During a program organized on Saturday, he also stated that the nine-point agreement reached with teachers will be implemented from the upcoming fiscal year.
Minister Pant emphasized, "My effort is to pass the School Education Act as soon as possible from the House of Representatives by Ashadha 15." He expressed openness to discussing previous agreements, clarifying that the government’s liability for the nine-point agreement is eight billion rupees annually. He added that the government cannot currently accommodate demands for additional financial burdens but is prepared to implement the agreement from the next fiscal year with the allocated budget.
The statement underscores the government's focus on education reforms and ongoing negotiations with teachers' associations.
