Ten People Have Died In Texas Floods

Jun 14, Kathmandu - At least ten people have died and many others are missing due to flooding after heavy rainfall in the southern US state of Texas, officials said.

According to KNS, the roads were flooded after the rain in the city of San Antonio, Texas, and the vehicles were also blocked.

The San Antonio Fire Department is said to be searching for victims. City officials have confirmed that the death toll has risen to 10.

San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg said on social media that the search for those who lost their lives in the flooding will continue.

City officials said rescue and investigation efforts were underway for flood victims.

Scientists have long warned that climate change, driven by human-made fossil fuel emissions, is increasing the likelihood of extreme weather events such as heavy rainfall.
