Actress Karisma Kapoor's ex-husband's last rites to be performed in Delhi

Jun 14, Kathmandu - Actress Karisma Kapoor's ex-husband and businessman Sanjay Kapoor passed away in London on June 12. Sanjay's funeral is scheduled to be held in Delhi, for which arrangements have been made to bring his body to India. However, it is said that there may be a delay due to some legal procedures.

Sanjay was an American citizen and died in the UK. Because of this, his body will have to go through a lengthy legal process before being brought to India for the last rites. Speaking to NDTV, Sanjay's father-in-law Ashok Sachdev said that his last rites will be performed in Delhi. However, due to legal formalities, there may be a delay in his last rites. He also said that the post-mortem is being done in London. He said that until the paperwork is completed, the body cannot be brought to India for the last rites.

Sanjay has been married three times and has three children. His first marriage was to fashion designer Nandita Mahtani in 1996 and lasted for four years. The couple had no children.

He then married Karisma Kapoor in 2003. They have two children, daughter Samaira and son Kiaan. In 2014, Karisma and Sanjay filed for divorce by mutual consent. Their divorce was finalized in 2016.

After their divorce, Sanjay married Priya Sachdev in 2017. The couple has a son, Azarius. Priya and Sanjay have a son, Azarius. Sanjay also raised Priya's daughter Safira from her first marriage.
