Huge damage in Israel, offices closed: Embassy says - don't leave home

Jun 15, Kathmandu - The Nepali Embassy in Tel Aviv, the capital of Israel, has urged its citizens there not to leave their homes except in urgent cases.

The embassy issued a notice on Sunday (Asadha 1), asking Nepalis there to stay in the vicinity of places with safe shelter facilities.

“We sincerely request you to pay special attention to your safety, not to leave your homes except in urgent cases, and to stay in the vicinity of places with safe shelter facilities,” the embassy said.

Israel carried out an airstrike on Iran last Thursday night. Since then, the two countries have been engaged in continuous attacks and counterattacks. As tensions have escalated, both countries have suffered heavy losses of life and property.

The Nepali Embassy has stated that there has been heavy loss of life and property in various parts of Israel in the ongoing war.

The embassy has also stated that the Israeli Home Front Command has been issuing continuously updated instructions for the general public in this situation.

It has also been instructed to close all non-essential offices, including educational institutions, and to refrain from gatherings/gatherings. The embassy has also urged people to follow local security protocols.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, there are currently 5,500 Nepalese citizens in Israel and 12 to 15 in Iran.
