He had worked at Ramechhap District Hospital for more than two years and was transferred to Hetauda in the last week of Jestha. He wrote in a Facebook post that he was treated inhumanely and unjustly at the Ramechhap Hospital where he served.
He mentioned that false accusations, threats and pressure were made against him while working at the hospital. Dr. Shrestha has also accused some employees of working together to torture him mentally. He has made public the names of some people, including the names of the Health Minister and the Health Secretary.
He has complained that he was forced to come to Kathmandu with his family from Ramechhap Hospital at 9 pm and that the Ministry of Health did not provide security. He also complains that the Ministry and the local administration have not provided him with justice and security. Dr. Shrestha, who got married only a few years ago, has a 2-year-old daughter and a wife.
Dr. Shrestha has also written that his soul will find peace only if he gets justice. He said, "I did not want to sit back and watch the victory of untruth. My soul will not find peace until legal action is taken against those who forced me to kill."
