Heavy Rainfall Kill 29 In Congo

Jun 16, Kathmandu - At least 29 people have died in the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) after heavy rainfall hit the capital this week. Kinshasa Governor Daniel Bumba urged locals to take preventive measures by raising disaster awareness, saying evacuation and temporary resettlement efforts were ongoing.

Local media quoted weather officials as saying that up to 90 millimeters of rain fell during the rainy season. Heavy rain is expected to continue in the coming days, causing further damage to the city.
