Jun 16, Kathmandu - The Patan High Court has issued a short-term interim order not to arrest journalist Dil Bhushan Pathak. A single bench of Justice Rishi Rajbhandari issued the order not to arrest Pathak.

The Cyber ​​Bureau of the Nepal Police had obtained permission from the District Court to investigate and prosecute electronic transaction (cybercrime) cases.

Journalist Pathak had approached the Patan High Court alleging that he was being illegally arrested. After the initial hearing, the High Court issued a short-term order not to arrest him.

According to senior advocate Dinesh Tripathi, the arrest of journalist Pathak has been stayed for the time being.

"We could not arrest him immediately. The hearing will proceed on the 5th," he said. "After that, whatever the court reaches will be the decision".
