Jun 17, Kathmandu - The landslide that had blocked the Muglin-Narayangadh road section near Tuin Khola in Ichchakamana Rural Municipality-6 has been cleared, allowing vehicular movement in both directions, according to the Bharatpur Road Division.
The dry landslide occurred on Tuesday afternoon, causing temporary disruption to traffic. The road division announced that the debris has been removed and traffic resumed in both directions as of Tuesday evening.
However, authorities have issued a cautionary note to travellers, warning that rocks from above the site continue to fall, posing ongoing risks. They urged motorists to exercise vigilance, travel safely in a single lane, and maintain lane discipline.
“The landslide near the Tuin River on the Muglin-Narayangadh road section has been cleared. Vehicular movement has now resumed in both directions,” the Road Division stated in a notice issued at 4:30 pm on Tuesday. “Since stones are still falling from above, we advise drivers to proceed with caution and keep to one lane for safety.”
Earlier, minor damages were reported when falling stones struck a microbus and an ambulance operating in the area, causing slight damage but no injuries.
Motorists are advised to remain alert and cautious while traveling through this section until further notice.
