MP Thapa Tears Up Budget Booklet

Jun 19, Kathmandu - Opposition party CPN (Unified Socialist) MP Ammar Bahadur Thapa has torn up the budget booklet. In the House of Representatives meeting held on Thursday (Asar 5), he tore up the ministry-wise budget booklet of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport.

He said that the physical infrastructure budget has failed to address the demands of the people. He alleged that a leader- and minister-oriented budget has been brought.

“I tore this book up inside the House because I didn’t like it, so I took permission to tear it up,” he said.

Thapa is also the chairman of the Education, Health and Information Technology Committee under the House of Representatives.
