RSP Changes The Format Of Its Protest In Parliament

Jun 19, Kathmandu - The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has changed the format of its ongoing protest in Parliament over the visit visa issue.

In Thursday's House of Representatives meeting, the RSP MPs sat in front of the well, holding their placards tightly, and they did not shout slogans like before.

The RSP is said to have changed the nature of the protest after Speaker Devraj Ghimire warned that if sloganeering continues during the regular proceedings of the parliament, the party would be thrown out of the meeting room. It is understood that the RSP has agreed with Speaker Ghimire not to raise slogans.

Another party, the RPP, which has been opposing the visit visa issue, has also boycotted today's meeting, saying that the parliament is functioning amidst obstacles.
