RSP MPs' Foreign Trip, Avoiding Parliamentary Row

Jun 22, Kathmandu - The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has been continuously trying to obstruct Parliament, demanding the resignation of Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak. However, despite the opposition from the NIP, Speaker Devraj Ghimire is taking parliamentary action forward.

Today too, the RSP MPs are not participating in the parliamentary process. They have been sitting in front of the well since the beginning of the meeting. However, the presence of the RSP MPs seems thin today. Some influential MPs, including the party's acting president DP Aryal, are not present.

According to a source from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), at least five party MPs have gone on foreign tours after planning various programs. The source expressed dissatisfaction saying that the party is simultaneously traveling abroad to weaken its parliamentary opposition.

Acting President Aryal left for Qatar yesterday evening. He has gone to participate in a program of the RSP migration department. Sources said that he is on leave for two to three days.

The party's directly elected MP Dr. Toshima Karki has reached America. She has a program to meet and interact with the Nepali community in various states of America. She had shared the meeting program to be held in various cities from June 21 to 29 on Facebook. She has called on people to participate in the place that suits them.

Another party MP Ganesh Parajuli is in Australia. He has also gone at the invitation of the Nepali Diaspora Liaison Department near the RSP. He has interacted with the Nepali community in Sydney and Canberra on Ashadha 7 and 8.

Two more MPs Hari Dhakal and Sobita Gautam have gone to neighbouring India. They had informed about their arrival in Bangalore yesterday on Facebook. They are scheduled to announce the Karnataka committee of the RSP today.
