Gandaki MP Tears Up Budget Booklet From Rostrum

Jun 24, Kathmandu - Resham Bahadur Jugjali, a member of parliament from the CPN-Maoist Center in Gandaki Province, has torn up the budget booklet from the rostrum of the provincial assembly.

He tore up the budget booklet on Monday during a discussion on the annual development program of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development.

Jugjali, who is also the former Minister of Physical Infrastructure Development, tore up the booklet, saying that the budget was biased.

He sarcastically said that the gods and goddesses might be the happiest with the current budget.

He also questioned the allocated budget, saying that the Finance Minister and the Minister of Physical Infrastructure would be rotated from Gurja in Myagdi to Darkhola via Narchyang.

He also commented that the Gandaki budget was trying to reach Mount Everest but ended up in the Indian Ocean.
