Jun 26, Kathmandu - The Crime Branch of India, investigating a racket selling fake cancer cures in Delhi, has uncovered a Nepal connection in the case.
According to The Indian Express, officials have found that a large quantity of counterfeit cancer drugs were smuggled into India through Kathmandu. Authorities are actively searching for the suspect responsible for sending these drugs from Nepal, and it is believed that an arrest is imminent.
Nepal Police officials have stated they have no information regarding the case.
The investigation into the fake drug gang, which was busted earlier this month by Delhi Police, revealed that the illicit drugs entered India via Nepal. During interrogations, the arrested individuals reportedly admitted that the drugs were imported from Nepal.
The police are continuing their efforts to dismantle the operation and apprehend those involved.
