ACC U16 East Zone Cup - Nepal beats Bhutan by 298 runs to reach semi-finals

Jul 01, Kathmandu - Nepal has won its fourth consecutive match in the ongoing U16 East Zone tournament in Malaysia.

In today's match, Nepal defeated its weak rival Bhutan by a huge margin of 298 runs.

Chasing the target of 359 runs set by Nepal, Bhutan could only manage 60 runs in 32.4 overs. Nepal's captain Bipin Sharma bowled a lethal spell, taking 4 wickets for just 7 runs.

Only two Bhutanese batsmen managed to score double figures. Bhutan's innings was ended after the loss of nine wickets due to an injury to the batsman at number 11.

Nepal, who won the toss and elected to bat first in today's match, posted a mammoth total of 358 runs, helped by Raunak Srivastava's record-breaking 168 runs. With today's win, Nepal has entered the semi-finals of the tournament.
