Heavy Rainfall In Himachal Pradesh, India, 30 Dead, 34 Missing

Jul 03, Kathmandu - 30 people have died and 34 are missing in floods and landslides following heavy rainfall in Himachal Pradesh, India. DC Rana, Special Secretary, Disaster Management and Revenue Department, Himachal Pradesh, has said that 30 people have died and 34 are missing due to the rains so far.

DC Rana said, 'Monsoon arrived in Himachal Pradesh on June 19. Since then, it has been raining continuously. Ten people died in Mandi district on Wednesday.' He said that various places have been damaged due to the rain. Most of the places have experienced floods and landslides.

Heavy rains in the Mandi region of Himachal Pradesh have caused flooding in the Beas River. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert after the water flow in the river increased.
