ACC U16 East Zone Cup: Nepal advances to final

Jul 03, Kathmandu - Nepal has entered the final of the ACC East Zone Cup U16 Cricket Tournament.

Nepal entered the final by defeating the home team Malaysia by 9 wickets in the match held in Malaysia today (Thursday).

Nepal achieved the target of 91 runs set by Malaysia in 11 overs and 4 balls, losing one wicket.

Nepal's Parimarjan Yadav played the highest half-century of 59 runs. Similarly, Shiwansh Bajgain added 23 runs. Malaysia's Nagineshwaram took 1 wicket.

Earlier, Malaysia, who were invited to bat first after losing the toss, scored 90 runs in 43 overs and 1 ball.

Malaysia's Mohamad Fathul scored 38 runs. Other players could not reach double figures.

For Nepal, Abhay Yadav took 4 wickets, Shubham Khanal took 3 wickets, and captain Bipin Prasad Sharma and Sachin Bhatta took 1 wicket each.

Nepal will now play the winner between Hong Kong and Singapore for the title on Saturday.
