Jul 03, Kathmandu - Nepal's Women's League champion APF Football Club is set to play against Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr in the preliminary round of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Women's Champions League.
Nepal's APF Club has been placed in Group B in the preliminary round draw announced by the AFC on Thursday. The group that APF is in includes Saudi Arabia's Al-Nasr, Uzbekistan's PFC Nasaf, and Thailand's College of Asian Scholars.
The Group B qualifiers will be held in Uzbekistan. This is the second consecutive time that the APF is playing in the Asian Champions League. 19 teams are participating in the preliminary round of the Champions League. The 19 teams have been divided into five groups. The top teams in each group will advance to the next round. The group stage matches will be held from August 23 to 31.
