Jul 04, Kathmandu - COVID-19 infections are increasing in Nepal. Recently, COVID-19 infections have started appearing in various districts in Nepal.
According to the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division (EDCD), COVID-19 infection has been confirmed in 31 districts of Nepal from 17 Poush 2081 to 19 Ashar 2082.
Corona infection has appeared in 249 people of Covid-19 so far. 35 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past week. Three people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. One person has also died from COVID-19.
Ministry of Health and Population spokesperson Dr. Prakash Budhathoki said that keeping in mind the risk of COVID-19 infection, the ministry has made COVID-19 surveillance more effective at health desks at 17 border checkpoints across the country. He said, “COVID-19 testing is being conducted using the RDT method at health desks at all border checkpoints.”
To protect oneself from COVID-19 and other respiratory diseases, one has been requested to adopt standards such as wearing masks, washing hands with soap and water or using sanitizers, and paying attention to personal hygiene. He urged those who have come from COVID-19 affected areas and have symptoms similar to COVID-19 to self-quarantine/isolate.
