Trump Hints At New Sanctions After Russian Attack

Jul 05, Kathmandu - US President Donald Trump has expressed serious concerns about Russia's recent, largest-ever drone and missile attack on Ukraine. He informed that there was a serious discussion about the ban in a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he had agreed to strengthen security after talks with Trump.

Air raid sirens sounded across Ukraine and explosions were heard in several places, including the capital, Kyiv, after the Russian attack. Ukrainian security forces destroyed 539 drones and 11 missiles, many of them. At least 26 civilians were injured in Kyiv.

The Polish embassy in Kyiv was also damaged, although the staff was safe.

Russia has said it wants to achieve its objectives peacefully. However, it has said it will continue with "special military operations" if necessary.

On the same day, a prisoner exchange was also held between Ukraine and Russia, a continuation of previous talks.
