Jul 06, Kathmandu - Swiss Foreign Minister (Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs) Ignazio Cassis is about to visit Nepal.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that he will arrive in Nepal on Sunday evening. He is scheduled to stay in Nepal for two days and propose to Bhutan on July 8.
While in Nepal, he is scheduled to hold formal talks with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and other government representatives. He is also expected to discuss Switzerland's cooperation programs, promotion of federalism, and global challenges such as climate change.
The Swiss government believes that his visit will provide an opportunity to strengthen bilateral and economic relations at a time when Nepal is on the right verge of transition from the group of least developed countries.
Last February, when Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba visited Geneva, Deuba invited her to visit Nepal.
