Jul 07, Kathmandu - Federal Foreign Minister of Switzerland Ignazio Daniele Giovanni Cassis had a courtesy meeting with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today. The meeting, held at the Prime Minister's residence in Baluwatar, discussed further strengthening the friendly relations between the two countries and continuing cooperation in the field of development.
Minister Cassis said that his support will continue in the areas of Nepal's development, strengthening federalism, transitional justice, climate change, and disaster risk management. Prime Minister Oli said that although Nepal has had violent and unstable politics for a long time, the situation has gradually improved as the government has been formed with the cooperation of two major parties with the goal of development, good governance, and protection of the democratic system.
He thanked the Swiss government for its continued support for Nepal's development. Swiss Ambassador to Nepal Dr. Daniel Meuli, officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and others were present on the occasion of the meeting.
