Jul 07, Kathmandu - The Vice-Chancellor Selection Recommendation Committee has recommended three names for the post of Vice-Chancellor of Tribhuvan University.

The committee recommended the names of Tribhuvan University Chancellor and Prime Minister KP Oli on Monday. However, the names of the three people have not been made public.

There were 12 candidates in the race for the Vice Chancellor post. Among them, Prof. Dr. Khadga KC, Prof. Dr. Binil Aryal, Prof. Dr. Yogendra Bahadur Gurung, Prof. Dr. Upendra Koirala and Professor Dilli Upreti are the most talked about.

On 6th Jestha, Oli had formed a three-member Vice Chancellor selection recommendation committee under the coordination of Pro-Chancellor and Education Minister Raghuji Pant.

The post of Vice Chancellor at TU fell vacant after Kesarjung Baral resigned on 15 Chaitra. Now, Chancellor Oli will appoint one of the three as the Vice Chancellor.
