Six Parliamentary Committees Meet Under Federal Parliament Today

Jul 10, Kathmandu - Today, six parliamentary committees are convening meetings to discuss various national issues under the Federal Parliament.

Finance Committee
The first session at 1:00 pm will focus on a proposed amendment to the Banking and Financial Institutions Act, 2073 BS, with the amendment proposer present for discussions. Following that, the committee will meet with representatives from the Nepal Securities Board and Nepal Stock Exchange to deliberate on current issues in the financial sector.

Industry, Commerce, Labor, and Consumer Welfare Committees
At 1:00 pm, these committees will jointly review the quality of iodized salt currently in circulation, emphasizing its supply chain and accessibility to consumers.

Law, Justice, and Human Rights Committee
Also at 1:00 pm, this committee will discuss the Nepal Bar Council (Second Amendment) Bill, 2081, with officials from the Nepal Bar Council.

Public Accounts Committee
Scheduled for 1:00 pm, the committee will review and approve the 23rd Annual Report.

Legislative Management Committee
This committee will meet at 1:00 pm to discuss clause-wise details of the National Forensic Science Laboratory (Establishment and Operation) Bill, 2081.

Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee
Earlier, at 11:30 am, this committee convened to discuss the recent flood impacts, focusing on rescue operations and rehabilitation efforts.
