Five Arrested With 40 Kg Of Marijuana

Jul 11, Kathmandu - Nepal Police have arrested five people with 40 kilograms of marijuana. Information Officer of the District Police Range, Kathmandu, Apil Raj Bohara, said that Nirajan Chepang, Prakash Chepang and Shankar Chepang of Gajuri-4, Dhading, and Jeevan Praja and Suman Chepang of Maharajgunj, Kathmandu have been arrested.

The police also recovered 125 thousand cash from them. Police say that they had kept that amount of marijuana hidden in a tent at Sunnam Chepang in Koteshwor, Kathmandu, and were selling and distributing it.

Meanwhile, Nepal Police have arrested Anjan Tamang of Bethanchowk, Kavrepalanchok, and Suresh Tamang of Gokarneshwor, Kathmandu, on charges of robbing a woman of a two-tola gold chain she was wearing on a bus heading from Ammarsingh Chowk in Pokhara to Lekhnath on Chaitra 29.
