Sep 25, Kathmandu - The Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Sri Lanka's National Chamber of Exporters have formalized an agreement to promote direct cooperation between entrepreneurs of the two countries through the exchange of business delegations.

The memorandum aims to expand mutual trade and investment, identify opportunities for establishing industries, and foster joint investments. The agreement is expected to facilitate easier interactions among business communities, including meetings, trade fairs, and participation in business forums.

Additionally, representatives from the Nepal Chamber of Commerce have also agreed to study Sri Lanka's economic revival strategies as part of this cooperation.

The agreement was signed in the presence of Dr. Purna Nepali, the Ambassador of Nepal to Sri Lanka; Kamlesh Kumar Agrawal, President of the Nepal Chamber of Commerce; and Indra Kaushal Rajapaksa, President of Sri Lanka's National Chamber of Exporters.

On behalf of the Nepal Chamber of Commerce, the agreement was signed by Vice President and Chair of the International Committee, Arjun Prasad Sharma, while the Sri Lankan side was represented by Secretary General Shiham Marikar.

The chambers expressed confidence that this collaboration will promote trade, investment, industry, and service sectors between the two nations.
