Oct 19, Kathmandu - The District Administration Office, Chitwan, has issued a notice to hold 'Deusi Bhailo' programs only until 10 pm during Tihar. The meeting of the Security Committee of the District Administration Office, Chitwan, appealed to hold 'Deusi Bhailo' only until 10 pm, saying that Tihar will be peaceful, disciplined and dignified.
Chief District Officer Ganesh Aryal has requested that festivals including Diwali be celebrated with restraint in the current difficult situation. "Everyone is appealed to celebrate Diwali in a disciplined, dignified and original manner," he said.
In previous years, the District Administration Office, Bharatpur, had set a time limit of 9 pm for holding cultural programs including Deusi Bhailo. This time, the administration has extended the time by an hour and allowed Deusi Bhailo to be played until 10 pm.
"Cultural programs including Deusi Bhailo will not be allowed after 10 pm. We will take control of cultural programs including Deusi Bhailo by cutting such time limits," said Chief District Officer Aryal. "Action will be taken against those who indulge in hooliganism, indecent behavior, and attack original customs and culture during the festival."
Similarly, action will be taken against those who sell and distribute gambling, langurburja, and firecrackers, firecrackers, and fireworks that are prohibited by the prevailing law and create terror in the society, said Chief District Officer Aryal. The administration has stated that action will be taken against those found consuming alcohol or drugs in public places.
