Jan 15, Kathmandu - Nepal Communist Party (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli has expressed his best wishes for happiness, peace and prosperity to all Nepali brothers and sisters at home and abroad on the occasion of Maghe Sankranti.

Today, while issuing a message of greetings, he said, 'Today is Maghe Sankranti. We celebrate this festival with cultural diversity—some call it Maghi, others Makar Sankranti, or Maghya festival. It is a day marked by feasting on traditional foods rich in minerals. I extend my best wishes for a joyous Maghe Sankranti to everyone.'

Chairman Oli has mentioned in the message that on this day, there is a tradition of bathing in various holy rivers and triveni in the country, including Barahkshetra, Devghat, Ridhikshetra and worshipping in temples.
