Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) Vice President Bamdev Gautam Prachanda has reached Khumaltar to meet Nepal Group Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda.

After reaching Dahal's residence in Khumaltar this morning, Gautam had a half-hour meeting. It is understood that Gautam has urged Prachanda to support party unity.

However, Prachanda has made it clear that he will no longer be able to cooperate with Oli. Gautam has even proposed to oust Oli from the PM's post and elect a new PM from within the CPN (Maoist).

The CPN (Maoist) is divided between Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Prachanda-Nepal. Gautam, on the other hand, stands for unity.
