Ghale Departs for Greece for Olympic Ambassador Session

Jun 05, Kathmandu - Nepal's renowned international modern pentathlon athlete, Pema Yangzom Ghaley, has departed for Greece to participate in the upcoming "66th International Session for Young Olympic Ambassadors." The prestigious event is scheduled to take place from June 6 to June 18, 2024.

Representing Nepal, Ghale was bid farewell by Nepal Olympic Committee (NOC) Secretary General Rajiv Shrestha, who also extended best wishes for her success. Organized by the International Olympic Academy, the program invites young sports ambassadors from around the world to engage in cultural exchange and leadership development.

The farewell ceremony was held at the Olympic Committee headquarters in Saptadoor, Lalitpur, attended by officials including Sujanlal Shrestha, Director of the Nepal Olympic Academy; Raju Darshan, Vice President of the Modern Pentathlon Association Nepal; Treasurer Shailendra Shrestha; and other members.
