India Gifts Over 7,000 Protective Helmets to Nepal Police

Jun 06, Kathmandu - The Government of India has officially handed over more than 7,000 protective helmets to Nepal’s law enforcement agencies to boost the operational safety and capabilities of local law enforcement. 

The ceremonial handover took place during a special event held today in Birgunj. Shri Devi Sahai Meena, the Consul General of India in Birgunj, formally presented the massive consignment of protective gear to Shri Shanti Raj Koirala, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Nepal Police, Birgunj (Parsa). 

According to officials, these helmets are intended to directly strengthen the safety and field capabilities of Nepal's security forces. The gesture highlights the ongoing bilateral cooperation and security partnership between India and Nepal, ensuring that those on the front lines of law enforcement remain well-protected while executing their duties.
