Jun 09, Kathmandu - Twelve houses were destroyed in a fire that broke out in Hanumannagar Kankalini Municipality-5 of Saptari on Tuesday.

Police have reported that the houses of five families, including local Buchu Khang, were destroyed after a sudden fire broke out in their house.

Local Manoj Mehta informed that the houses of Sagan Khang, Dukhai Khang, Lakhan Khang and Narayan Khang were burnt in the fire.

The cause of the fire is not known, but he said that the damage is around Rs 2.5 million. The District Police Office has reported that the locals and the police have brought the fire under control.
