Jun 09, Kathmandu - Home Minister Sudan Gurung and Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation Mahabir Pun have taken oath.
Two ministers were sworn in by President Ram Chandra Poudel during a ceremony held at the Presidential Office, Sheetal Niwas, on Tuesday.
Prime Minister Balendra Shah had today recommended former Home Minister and House of Representatives member Sudan Gurung to be reappointed as Home Minister.
Earlier, Gurung had resigned from the post of Home Minister after questions were raised regarding his asset details. The government had immediately formed a committee to investigate the matter.
The investigation committee had submitted its report to the Prime Minister last Friday. The Council of Ministers meeting held on Tuesday approved the report and decided to re-appoint Gurung as Home Minister.
Gurung has taken over the leadership of the Home Ministry with the government's decision.
Similarly, MP Mahabir Pun also accepted the government's proposal for the post of Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation.
