Jun 09, Kathmandu - Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation Mahabir Pun has taken the oath of office today at Sheetal Niwas. He reached Singha Durbar immediately after taking oath at Sheetal Niwas and assumed responsibility.

After assuming responsibility, he pledged to work day and night.

He said, ‘This is not something that can be achieved by walking slowly for the development of science and technology. It is something that must be done very quickly by working day and night. I will not stay in this position for long.’

He said that even though the government’s tenure is 5 years, he will remain in charge for only three years at most.

He added, ‘I will work day and night as much as I can. This government is for 5 years. I declare here that I will stay for a maximum of 3 years.’

He said that after laying a good foundation in the ministry in three years, he will hand over to new young leaders.
