Nepalese Youth Entrepreneurs Forge New Path: NAYEF Lalitpur Chapter Elects New Leadership

Jun 28, Kathmandu - The annual general meeting of the Nepalese Youth Entrepreneurs Forum (NAYEF) Lalitpur Chapter successfully concluded, electing a new executive committee to steer its future initiatives. Anukul Shrestha was elected as the new president in a democratic election during the gathering.

The newly formed leadership has committed to prioritizing youth entrepreneurship, innovation, startup promotion, and economic leadership development. President Shrestha emphasized his dedication to enhancing young entrepreneurs' capacities, encouraging innovation, nurturing startup growth, creating a business-friendly environment, and laying a strong foundation for entrepreneurship.

"Our goal is to empower young entrepreneurs, foster innovation, and build a conducive environment for startups," Shrestha stated. He also highlighted NAYEF's active role in guiding the new generation of private sector leaders to take on leadership roles.

During the program, the President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Anjan Shrestha, congratulated the new executive committee, emphasizing the vital role of youth entrepreneurs in Nepal's economic transformation. He underscored that innovation, creativity, and youthful leadership are the future of the private sector.

Shrestha also pointed out the necessity of strengthening collaboration between the government, private sector, and young entrepreneurs. The federation expressed its commitment to work alongside NAYEF to enhance startups, entrepreneurship development, financial access, mentorship, and expand both national and international networks.

In a video message, Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal extended his congratulations to the new leadership and wished them success in their tenure.

The program also included discussions on youth entrepreneurship, startup development, innovation, private sector leadership, and enhancing cooperation between government, private sector, and young entrepreneurs.

The new executive committee comprises President Shrestha, outgoing Chairperson Elvis Ranjit, First Vice President Prakiran Shrestha, Second Vice President Ashish Bhandari, and members including Ashank Sh., Ranjit Rana, Ritesh Shrestha, Abhishek Sharda, Shraddha Katuwal, Kushal Joshi, Anish Raut, Neeraj Kafle, Aasmi Shrestha, Nikita Shrestha, Abhinav Raj Shrestha, and Kshitij Dhwaj Thapa.

The committee has expressed its commitment to empowering young entrepreneurs, promoting innovation, and actively contributing to the development of Nepal’s entrepreneurship sector during their tenure.
