Young Nepali Child Artist Yunish Ghimire Wins First Award, Gains Wide Acclaim

Jun 29, Kathmandu - Ten-year-old child artist Yunish Ghimire from Dang has received his first-ever award, marking a significant milestone in his burgeoning entertainment career. He was honored with the Child Encouragement Award at a ceremony held in Kathmandu, where Vice President Paramananda Jha personally presented him with the accolade.

Yunish, who has been actively involved in dance alongside his studies for several years, has also gained popularity through various music videos, fairs, festivals, and TikTok. He has already worked in three songs to date.

In 2082 BS, Yunish made his acting debut in the song “Lajko Parda” (“The Curtain of Shame”), where he had the opportunity to work alongside the renowned actor Pal Shah. The song featured vocals by Khem Senchuri and Sunita Mi Pariyar, with Unish playing a notable role alongside stars Pal Shah and Juna Bishwakarma.

Recently, he acted in the folk duet “Paisa Falne Buto” (“The Tree that Grows Money”) and most recently released his third children’s version of the song “Makai Bari Daryam Daryam”.

Yunish’s rising popularity highlights the vibrant future of young talent in Nepal’s entertainment scene.
