Over 1,800 Traffic Violators Fined in 24 Hours, Revenue Crosses Half a Million

Jul 03, Kathmandu - In the past 24 hours, a total of 1,813 drivers have been penalized for traffic rule violations, generating a revenue of NPR 528,501 for the government treasury.

According to the Kathmandu Metropolitan Traffic Police Office, violations include nine cases of driving under the influence of substances, 105 instances of illegal ride-sharing, 119 cases of ignoring traffic signals, and 115 vehicles speeding.

Additionally, 102 drivers were fined for not following lane discipline, 79 for honking in restricted areas, 117 for illegal parking on sidewalks, 65 for driving on one-way streets, and 1,110 others for various traffic rule infringements.
