Purbath's Modi Rural Municipality Distributes Smart Boards to Modernize School Education

Modi Rural Municipality in Parbat District has distributed smart boards to all community schools to foster technology-friendly and modern teaching methods.

Jul 07, Kathmandu - According to Chief Administrative Officer Baburam Puri, a total of 52 smart boards have been handed over to secondary level schools within the municipality.  

The initiative, part of a broader strategy for social and economic transformation, aims to provide accessible, quality, and modern education equipped with advanced technology. The smart boards were procured at a cost of NPR 12,321,000, aligning with the municipality's campaign to expand digital technology use in schools.

Dinesh Poudel, Education Officer of the municipality, expressed confidence that the use of smart boards would make teaching more effective, increase student engagement, and contribute significantly to the development of ICT-based education.

Municipality Chairperson Hira Devi Sharma urged schools to maximize the use of these modern devices, emphasizing that technology is the foundation of modern education.  

Bimal Lamichhane, Vice Chairperson, highlighted that smart boards are not just devices but vital tools for transforming teaching and learning quality. The municipality’s effort to provide modern education with advanced technology aims to help rural students excel and become future leaders.
