Bangladesh fertilizer will take 6 months to reach Nepal whereas  first consignment is coming

February 25, Kathmandu- It has been confirmed that the fertilizer purchased from Bangladesh will reach Nepal only six months after the government started the process. The first consignment of urea fertilizer purchased in GTG from Bangladesh has arrived in Kolkata.

Now, the fertilizer will reach Nepal within a week, according to the Agricultural Ingredients Company Limited. According to the company, 22,500 metric tons of manure are about to enter Nepal.

Bishnu Pokhrel, information officer of Krishi Samagri Company Limited, said, "The first consignment of manure has arrived in Kolkata. Unloading will start from Friday to bring it to Nepal."


The company has stated that the goods brought from Kolkata by rail will reach Bhairahawa, Biratnagar, and Birgunj soon.
