Roads Including Maitighar in Kathmandu Flooded Due to Heavy Rainfall

Jul 16, Kathmandu - Kathmandu's major roads have been submerged due to heavy rainfall on Thursday afternoon, causing widespread disruptions. The most affected area is Maitighar, which remains the busiest thoroughfare in the city. The complete flooding of Maitighar Road has severely hampered transportation and traffic flow in the region.

Other key areas impacted by the rain include Putali Sadak, Dhobikhola Corridor, and various parts of Kathmandu. The flooding has created significant obstacles for both vehicular movement and pedestrians, leading to travel delays and congestion.

Even brief showers in certain parts of Kathmandu have resulted in temporary waterlogging and road closures. Commuters are advised to plan their journeys accordingly as the weather conditions continue to affect daily transportation.
