Jul 18, Kathmandu - The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority has urged people to be on high alert, saying that there is a forecast of very heavy rainfall.

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has issued a forecast of heavy to very heavy rainfall in various provinces today and tomorrow, and the authority has asked people to be alert.

As there is a risk of flash floods, landslides, erosion, flash floods, and inundation in urban and Terai areas due to heavy rainfall, all concerned have been asked to take necessary precautions and take/have prepared.

The authority also urges people not to travel far from home and at night, unless it is absolutely necessary, today and tomorrow.
